Samsung ChatOn – Brave the Waves

by Blake on September 25, 2011

Samsung is on a roll and after announcing ChatOn, they’ve stormed the market with three smartphones that have two big things in common. First of all, the names are very similar as the gadgets will be named Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y, with the first being the most impressive in terms of computing power and visual appeal. The second thing that they have in common is Samsung’s own platform the bada 2.0 that will power these smartphones, with multitasking capabilities, Wi-Fi Direct or Near Field Communication.

Samsung-ChatON-appWave 3 is arguably the most appealing and the 4 inch Super AMOLED display is just one of the reasons it will become a public’s favorite. Powered by a 1,4 GHz processor enclosed in a slim metal case it will be much appreciated by those who count on Samsung’s Music Hub and Social Hub. The second in line is the Wave M, which has the merit of being the first smartphone to offer ChatOn, helping users to stay connected all the time. The screen is slightly smaller and stands at a 3.65-inch HVGA, offering clear images, vibrant colors and good viewing angles.

Speaking of which, Wave Y’s tiny 3.2-inch screen compensates the lack of size with a very chic design, and it will be a good option for those who need a less-expensive smartphone. It also features the Social hub and Music hub, ChatOn , so you will not sacrifice the social experience for a better price. For the time being, there are only rumors about how much each of these devices will cost and those who want to learn more, have to wait until Sunday. The three Waves will be presented officially in Berlin at IFA 2011 where all the relevant details will be revealed.
